Leverkusen, 15 January 2017 - DEKOTEC GmbH, the leading provider of corrosion prevention products and innovative sealing technology, launches a range of innovative new products that will mark a decisive improvement in the repair of damage to asphalt roads. The launch, on 15 January 2017, marks exactly 40 years since the first TOK® bitumen joint tapes for road construction were first brought to market.
For the first time, the application of TOK®-Band for sealing joints and seams is possible without any primer. The products can now be applied directly to clean asphalt edges, so that time-consuming priming and air-drying is no longer necessary. The innovative TOK®-Band A can be applied within seconds, instead of the intensive heating procedure that has been the norm until now. This cuts the time required for the application of bitumen joint tapes in half, compared to the usual melting procedure.

Further, the TOK®-Band SK is a proven reliable self-adhesive bitumen joint tape; the TOK®-Band A can be repeatedly activated even at longer intervals; and the new TOK®-Band SK N2 is extraordinarily flexible particularly at low temperatures. All TOK® bitumen joint tapes have been tested and approved in accordance with the latest high quality standard ZTV-Fug StB 15.
