PLASTELEN®-Verte
Plastic petrolatum tape for sealing and corrosion prevention around metallic components, cable connections, pipelines and fittings.
This product is confirmed as H2-ready.

- Fulfils GrDF (FR) standard MBAA023 and BAA023.
PLASTELEN®-Verte is a petrolatum-based cold-applied corrosion prevention tape in accordance with EN 12068. It fulfils the standards MBAA023 and BAA023 of Gaz Réseau Distribution France (GrDF). PLASTELEN®-Verte consists of an impregnated polypropylene non-woven carrier, which is coated on both sides with a corrosion prevention petrolatum mastic. The tape is stabilised using polymer and mineral additives to achieve design temperatures from -50°C (-58°F) up to +50°C (+122°F).
PLASTELEN®-Verte : Industries and solutions
PLASTELEN®-Verte is primarily used for corrosion prevention on metallic construction components with complicated shapes or uneven surfaces in pipelines and in power station and pipeline station construction, for example by Alstom in France. PLASTELEN®-Verte has even proven its innovative characteristics in less common applications, including use as a galvanic isolation layer, as a temporary seal to repair leaks in low-pressure gas lines, or to prevent corrosion on metal parts or pipe systems encased in concrete or screed.
